By downloading, installing or using ICARE Senior Care Companion (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of the App is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where these Terms and Apple’s Standard EULA conflict, Apple’s Standard EULA controls with respect to your use of the App obtained from the App Store.
The App is provided free of charge. The App does not offer auto-renewable subscriptions, other subscriptions, or any in-app purchases. No account is required and no payment is collected inside the App.
The App provides general wellness and convenience features, including:
ICARE is not a medical device, a telehealth provider, or an electronic health record system. It does not diagnose conditions, provide clinical advice, or store HIPAA protected health information. Always consult a physician or pharmacist about medication and health decisions.
The emergency (SOS) feature only opens your device’s native telephone dialer with an optional pre-filled text message. We do not operate an emergency dispatch or monitoring service, and we cannot guarantee that a call connects. In a real emergency, call your local emergency number directly.
You agree not to:
On the Web and Android platforms, the App may include links to third-party assistive care resources. On iOS, the App functions strictly as a standalone companion and reminder tool, containing no external commerce or affiliate links. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party sites.
Conversational and translation features send the recognized text (never your voice audio) to our own serverless AI proxy to generate a reply. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Our Privacy Policy explains what the App does with your information. In summary: your personal data stays on your device, and we do not sell your data.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Speech recognition, translation and AI responses may contain errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
